Strangers & Friends

Maybe I have been a little harsh and judgmental of my community. In truth my perception comes from my own experiences of people who live up to their stereotypes. But though judging people to the community they are attached are inevitable, a touch of kindness are usually around the corner. So sometimes, I hate a little less and I love a little more. I would highlight 10 simple act of kindness that I experienced myself.

1. I ALWAYS find myself with empty battery. At the worst possible times too so I would leave people wondering my fate or whether I am hurt somewhere that I am unable to be reached. This perceived paranoia is really because I myself am one. So you KNOW something is wrong (or stupid) that is causing me to be incommunicado. (I HAVE A FUNNY STORY FOR THIS. TO BE CONTINUED IN THE NEXT POST)

Sometimes when you're expected somewhere but you're running late but your phone died on you. What could you do. Sometimes I realized the battery is low so I would inform people that the phone will probably die soon. But if it suddenly died on me! The horror

HAHAHA. Then I get up the courage to ask random kindly looking people for their phone enabling me to get in touch with me loved ones. And tell them basically. "I'm not dead." And people are so accommodating. Like here's my phone trusted stranger?

2. This is short but oh so important. You know in LRT and buses? In those uni days when oil price is none of my concern and bus fares are CHEAP. Like people just give up their seats naturally. And sometimes man just give seats to me for being a woman. Like chivalry is not dead ladies. I get it. It's common sense. The pregnant woman and old people needs more rest than you selfish bastards. But that's my point. Selfish bastards are just in abundance. But then not everyone are selfish bastards.. And i live for this moment when humanity is just natural...

3. When I was 15. I came to school in the morning feeling horrible. I'm certain now that it must have been just a simple teenage drama not even worth a memory 10 years later. But I go to school fairly early. I will be the fifth person in (not even kidding). And always I would sit with this girl waiting for our mutual friends to come. She was sort of a friend. We hang with the same friends but never really clicked. We were friendly strangers.

But on this particular morning. I came in hiding my sadness as best as I could (truth: i really didn't put much effort. I wear my heart on my sleeve). And this friendly stranger saw and asked this simple question. "Hey are you ok?". And the waterworks came out. She sat there just waited until I finished. And i said yes. And that was enough. I felt better just like that. I wished i could say we became super friends after this. I mean we had a MOMENT. But it didn't happen. I haven't spoken to her of anything significance beside pleasantries since. But that moment of kindness. That split second. I was forever grateful she was there.

4. 3 people stopped their car to jumpstart my dead car in the middle of morning rush hour traffic at 3 different times. Enough said. God i wished i remembered their faces and names... It also worth noting that 7 ppl i successfully flagged refused to help (why did you stop in the first place? did you think i was offering free cable waving them like that?)

5.  The people who chased my car and honk like crazy just to tell my stupid ass that my car lights are not turned on at 11pm.

6. A woman automatically walked beside me in the rain because i didn't have an umbrella (LIKE WHO DOES THIS?)

7. That guy who helped push my trolley of boxes in court when I struggled balancing handful of documents while pushing the load.

8. A woman in Court tending to the bar council room allowed me credit for internet and printing because my purse was empty and i couldn't draw money at that time. Choosing instead to hold on to my promise that i'll come back later to pay her. When I asked if i could pay her later, I honestly thought she would politely say no. If I was in her shoes I would say no. The bill was not mere change. It was RM25 if i remembered correctly. She didn't even ask my name! Now some may say that it was in Court, I was obviously a lawyer and she probably remembered me in Court. Even considering all this, I was grateful. More so when you consider this is the place where cynicism is not only practiced but a way of life. (some lawyers would disagree. But really? You think not??)

9. In my university days, a random student came up to ask if I needed company back to my college room.  I was alone coming out of the library at night on a semester break. Her concern was actually sound. I could see that her friends were not keen because our colleges were a distance from each other but she ignored them anyway.

(Ultimately my destination was not back to the dorm so I declined her offer. The friendly girl and her unfriendly minions left. On a further note, i do get very suspicious of people. So even if I had wanted to go back to the room, taking safety precautions i don't think I would have joined them. But I believed she was sincere so it counts as an act of kindness)

10. A cabbie refused fare when he took me back home in the pouring rain when I was 13.

And there's many more. That friendly smile that passed between strangers. The hello as you shared a table in a packed restaurant. The greetings of strangers just passing you through life. Life is minutely difficult. We face different crisis personally and professionally. So I am grateful for that little light in between this fast paced race where people are just kind to each other for no reason whatsoever.

KECEWA adalah perasaan aku sekarang. Aku dikhianat.

Aku bukan pro-gov. In the sense that parti aku adalah PAS. Aku sokong ideologi PAS. Tapi.. Ni adalah kerajaan. Aku bukan pro-gov. Aku pro-Malaysia. So.. In realiti aku menyokong BN sebagai peneraju kerajaan Malaysia. So there is trust. Aku trust dia (secara paksa atau rela) to do what is best for Malaysia.

OF COURSE aku sedar ada pengundi hantu. OF COURSE aku dah baca from blogs yang tunjuk bukti that dalam system SPR ade 2 org with the same IC. So aku tau pengkhianatan tu.

So bile aku nampak gambar ni kat facebook. Aku tak terkejut. Malah aku rasa itu mungkin satu taktik pembangkang untuk dapat lagi pengundi. BTW.. pic kecik even originally and quite unclear. So look at the pic urself here. But to those yang tak click the link, the pic shows a print screen of a result of search untuk pengundi using the IC number. So apparently the same IC number is registered for two different voters.

What I usually do in this situation is mempercayai yang really MEMANG ADE PENGUNDI HANTU! But looking at this picture. Aku mcm syak wasangka BECAUSE aku dah pernah check whether aku dah registered belum and the result bukan mcm picture yang kat atas ni. Lagipun takkanlah keluar dua nama. So aku yakin yang picture kat atas, yang menunjukkan dua pengundi ade same IC, adalah FAKE. So aku enlarge and try to read the numbers and did my own research. Aku set out to prove that my govt was innocent. Can you imagine that? Me being pro-PAS and all set out to SHOW that opposition don’t play fair either.

The results are these:

Haih... Kecewa....

Let the games begin

So lately ni.. di sekitar Shah Alam aku akan nampak ini:

Ops.. Ha.. yang last one tuh tak la. BTW. kenapa nak bakar2 pulak ni?? kau duit mmg tak reti nak hargai eh? Kau ingat kau bakar tu ade symbolize anything ke. "Every small thing you do. Let it matter." and this action was pointless...

Anyway. As i was saying. Bendera2 yang digantung tak cukup meriah untuk aku fikir "Dah election ke? Aku miss announcement???"... Tapi of course mencurigakan. kenapa tiba2 penuh bendera barisan nasional (hahaha.. aku selalu tersasul sebut ni bendera umno)...

So obviously ini hanya misteri yang aku takkan solve pon because aku bukan seorang detective sekolah menengah...

Kalau kau tak tau siapa dia, childhood/adulthood kau sgt tak fulfilling. It's not as good as reading straight from a comic book BUT you have to try sample the online manga. It's different because it is in english. The comic is of course alih bahasa ke BM. So once you're hook, purchase the comic for your reading pleasure.

*on a sidenote, even with the existence of e-book, i would forever choose to read the proper book. that is until mother earth absolutely can't take anymore destruction of its trees. sigh~*

AGAIN. aku dah miss my point. So anyway. No.. Tak de jawapan dalam post ini KENAPA bendera BN merata tempat di dalam shah alam ni. But i am making an educated deduction that probably election dah dekat and nak get ahead of the competition. Like ha gantung semua2.. biar orang dah nampak dan imprint dalam otak logo bendera tuh. then announce date and wait for the others untuk terhegeh2 gantung... I have nothing against that. You have to play by your advantage kan.. hahaha

SO... dengan deduksi aku sendiri.. ELECTION DAH DEKAT!! mwahahahahahahahahaha!!!!! akhirnya akan diperguna juga identiti aku sebagai seorang pengundi yang sudah 3 tahun menunggu untuk dipergunakan.

For now... Obviously those that knows me best knows which side of the fence i am on. But i am determined to choose not the party but the people.... so sway me politicians. Let's hear you out.

Let the games begin...

Build for Speed??

Ever seen these images??

Malaysians on the road seemed to take it as a challenge to break the speed limit rather than a rule that has to be followed.. i get it that sometimes the speed limit might be pushing it too far. say putting a 90 km/h restraint on a 4 lane expressway with a long stretch of road. but even so i find it annoying that those who chose to stick to the speed limit (case in point: ME) are overtaken only to be served with a serving of scornful looks from some beemer.. i am already on the slow lane.. sticking obstinately to the speed limit. i care not for your highlight. it is a RIGHT for me. My RIGHT of way. but alas as life on the road of malaysia goes, i am the obstruction...

This is me pledging to stick to the bloody speed limit even though it may annoy and harass those late to their appointment.. if you are late. drive fast. go to the fast lane. im sure as hell won't be THERE. and here's another image..

Awesome Malaysia: Petrosains!!!!

I've been here once during my primary school time I think. An enjoyable place to visit. Makes you feel excited about learning science :P

So the other day, finally managed to go again. This time as a birthday treat to Tayan. We got student price :) we entered around 10.45 am.. as usual i look forward for the 'dark ride' where you will get on a sphere shaped ride to reach to the exhibition site. Awesome ride though some might find it boring.

It was on a weekend. Not a good time to go if you are going there for fun and want to fully enjoy the games there as there are many small kids and school trip. another thing is love is the helicopter simulator. that is awesome too.

I remembered when I was in primary school i actually thought that we are really on the oil platform in the middle of the sea :D

A lot of new things has been added.. the F1 section, more games... the exhibition will start from the dinosaurs era up till our generation..

The tickets are affordable too :) it is amazing how an incredible learning centre like that can fit in a mall... SUPER AWESOME. You can go to their websites for more info and also about the facilities they have :)

Malaysia... my destination :)

I consider myself to be realistic. I have dreams but not the sort of dream like going for a holiday to Paris or Washington just to name them :P
I believe that before I travel abroad, I need to conquer my own homeland first. After all Malaysia have LOTS of stuff too. I am lucky that I only left the borneo area to visit while I've been to all the states in the peninsular but probably not all the islands yet.

In order to promote tourism in Malaysia [:P] I'll share some of my experience visiting places all over the peninsular. Although the way it is convey may not seems to be fun or nice but why not try them yourself to really experience it?

Just for fun... Malaysia is awesome. SERIOUSLY :)
